Privacy policy

The short version: Startish keeps your tasks on your iPhone. We don't have an account system, we don't collect your task text, and we don't run analytics in the app.

What stays on your device

Everything you enter in the Startish app, including task titles, notes, ratings and history, is stored locally on your iPhone. The app works offline and doesn't need an account. We can't see this information and can't recover it for you.

What we collect

In the current version of the app, nothing. The app makes no network requests and includes no advertising, tracking or third-party analytics.

If you contact us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to tell us. We use it only to reply.

This website

This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Like most web hosts, Cloudflare may process technical data such as IP address and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site. We don't use cookies or advertising trackers on this site. Your light or dark mode choice is saved in your browser's local storage and never sent to us.

Notifications

If you turn on reminders, they are scheduled on your device. Task text is never included in a notification.

Future features

We may add optional features that use the internet, such as syncing between devices. Those would be opt-in, and we would update this policy and tell you before they collect anything. Optional analytics, if ever added, would be opt-in and would never include your task text.

Backups and exports

Your device may include Startish data in an iCloud or computer backup, depending on your iOS settings. If you export your data, the file goes where you choose to send it, and that is under your control.

Deleting your data

Deleting a task in the app removes its content and linked history from your device. Deleting the app removes its data from your device. Because we hold no copy, there is nothing for us to delete.

Children

Startish is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect information from them.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update the date at the top. Material changes will be noted in the app or on this site.
